Ovation spotlights independent talent in visual art, film, fashion & accessories design, music, performance art, beauty, crafts, tech, and photographers. Located at The Highline Ballroom centrally located in the heart of Chelsea, NY, RAW is a fun and alternative way for creatives to showcase both to their local community and the world at large.
DOUBLE VISION: Book Launch + Gallery Show
LA based photographer, Luke Austin showcased photos from his 4th installment in his Minibeaubook series, Double Vision located at The Highline Loft in New York City. The book launch also doubled as a gallery show, collaborating with 50+ artists from around the world juxtaposing Austin's image with the artists' depiction of the photo.
39 Thoughts: Gallery Exhibition
Showcased a complete body of work titled "Family Tree" that was used as an outlet for current and artistic aesthetics. While giving the viewers insight to the thought process and technique, it also demonstrated the growth progress from his previous New York studies. It would later become the jumpstart to his current and continual portrait series.
2011 CAA BFA Juried Exhibition
In Manhattan, the College Art Association Regional BFA Exhibition celebrates current perspectives from seventeen undergraduate student artists enrolled in seven area BFA programs. Curated by John Silvis and Brent Everett Dickinson, both professors of art at NYCAMS, the exhibition demonstrates the distinctiveness of each artist’s work and cultivates an engaging conversation among the participating programs.
Avant-Grande: A Visual and Spoken Word Event
The first major gallery exposing oil techniques in a selection by a Starbucks-Created Art Gala. Shown in the heart of Chelsea at the Metropolitan Pavilion, both "9 Heads" and "28th's Rain" were privately bought as well as established a private clientele as a result of its viewing.
